James William Ashmore III
Former truck driver and Dallas Cowboys fan
James William Ashmore (Ashie), 57, of Indianapolis, IN, died on May 16, 2017 after bravely battling cancer.
He was born September 1, 1959, in Pensacola, Florida. A son of James Ashmore and the late June Stewart Ashmore and stepmother Anita Ashmore.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, James and Anita Ashmore of Midway. Three daughters, Tiffany, Mariah and Brittany Ashmore of Pensacola, FL. Three grandchildren, Maliah, Jada and Neahmiah of Pensacola, Fl. A brother Adrian Ashmore (Karen) of Candor, sisters Kathy Ashmore of West Virginia, Angela Havard (Nolan) of Mississippi and Jennifer Spotti (Bryan) of Midway. Many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A special aunt, Joyce Abraham of Texas and a special cousin, Robin Stewart Bayliff (Richard) of Indiana. Deceased are two sisters Mary Nestor and Heather Greenslate.
Mr. Ashmore attended Fort Cherry High School and was a member of the United States Army. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and loved his family and friends with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jules and Elizabeth Lefebvre, George and Bessy Stewart and James and Virginia Ashmore.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at Midway Center United Presbyterian Church, 110 Washington Ave, Midway, PA 15060, at 6 pm. Please make all donations to the Roudebush VA Medical Center at 1481 West 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
