Obituary for Rose Anita Collinger-Sabatasse (Cocco)
ROSE ANITA COLLINGER SABATASSE
Rose, 94, of Burgettstown, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in the Washington County Health Center.
She was born December 16, 1923, in Bloomfield, PA the daughter of the late Tony and Anne Celender Cocco.
Rosie, as she liked to be called, was a Girl Friday to her cousin, Louis Talotta of Park Interiors, to Jean Bugay of Mt. Lebanon and Carl Palitti, Sr. of Sewickley. The field of design was in her blood – she continued to enjoy it all her life. She enjoyed horse racing also.
She was a member of St. Ann’s R. C. Church in Bulger and was the former owner of a packing company and a pizza shop.
Surviving are her children, William Anthony (Ann) Collinger and Sarah (August) Mondin; grandchildren, Anita (Tim) Wenning, Angela (Justin) Morrison, Tony (Erica) Collinger, Nick (Nancy) Collinger, A.J. (Cheryl) Mondin and Phillip Mondin; great grandchildren, Luke, Matthias, Violet, Iva, Felix and Clara Rose, A.J. and Trevor. She is also survived by her sister, Annetta Norcia.
Deceased in addition to her parents are her husbands, William E. Collinger, (the father of her children) and James Sabatasse; daughter, Anita Rose Collinger who passed away 12-4-1979; sisters, Rita Mae Cocco and Lucy Bruce and brother, Felix Cocco.
At Rosie’s request there will be no public viewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s R. C. Church, Bulger. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
