Obituary for Karl A. Rupnik
KARL A. RUPNIK
Karl, 85, of McDonald, North Fayette Twp., died Monday, February 26, 2018, in the Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon.
He was born September 9, 1932, in Butler, a son of the late Jacob and Anna Marie Durkowski Rupnik.
Mr. Rupnik was a member of St. Patrick’s R. C. Church and McDonald American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, making vinegar and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Korean War US Army veteran and was a retired supervisor with BMI Construction.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Gaye Kendall Rupnik; children , Carrie (John)Sutton of Wexford, Barbara (Robert) Maliszewski of Sturgeon and Brian (Patti) Rupnik of Sturgeon; grandchildren, Bobby (Amanda) Maliszewski, Jennifer (Shawn) McFee, Ryan (Marilyn) Sutton, Rachel Sutton, Brenna, Clayton and Kellen Rupnik. Also surviving are a brother, Edward (ILona) Rupnik of OH and Frances (Leo) Tamulinis of OH.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Jacob, William, Frank, Paul and John Rupnik and sister, Jenny DellaPiazza.
Friends will be received Thursday 12-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald (724-926-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 2:00 p.m. in St. Patrick’s R. C. Church, Oakdale. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Twp.
