Donna Bianchi (Wagner)
Donna Kay Bianchi, 77, passed away surrounded by family, on the morning of Sunday, March 11, 2018, in her home in McDonald, Pennsylvania, following a lengthy illness.
Donna was born August 31, 1940, in Washington County, a daughter of the late Richard Wagner and Martha Davis Wagner of Sturgeon, Pennsylvania.
Donna was a 1958 graduate of South Fayette High School, and a member of the “Little Green Machine” Marching Band.
On July 21, 1962, Donna Kay Wagner married Joseph Eugene Bianchi, and spent the next 55 years sharing a love beyond words. Together they began a family surrounded by the love and values they both held so dear. Donna spent her life as a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always put the happiness and wellbeing of others be-fore her own, and passed on that love and devotion to her entire family. Donna loved her family with a passion not many could rival, and was a constant reminder that love is not something said in passing, but rather shown through a lifetime filled with gestures of kindness, generosity, and a quiet pride in those you love.
Surviving are her devoted husband, Joseph E. Bianchi, Sr. of McDonald; a daughter, Tracy (John) Werhel of Burgettstown; a son, Joseph (Kim) Bianchi, Jr. of McDonald; 7 grandchildren, Trista (Ben) Snatchko, Bill (Kylee) Craig, Joseph (Emily) Bianchi, Adam Werhel, Bryce Craig, Kristina Bianchi, and Jordan Bianchi; 6 great grandchildren Lorelei, Waylon, Alivia, Henry, Charlee, and Annika; sister, Dessie (Joseph) Almady of McDonald; a nephew Keith (Darcy) Almady and their children; brother Richard “Dick” (Helen) Wagner and their family.
The family is forever grateful to her caregiver Loretta, her nurse Barb, and the staff at Gallagher Hospice Service for taking such amazing care of her. Because of all of you she was able to find peace in the house she spent a lifetime making into a home.
In following Donna’s final wishes all funeral services to be held at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, McDonald will be kept private.
