Nancy, 84, of Oakdale, died November 13, 2019, in St. Clair Hospital.
She was born July 10, 1935, in Indianola, PA a daughter of the late Paul and Clarabel Martin George.
Mrs. Stankevich was closely involved with caring for her home and family and raising her two sons. She was involved with their schooling and sports (school’s PTA, homeroom mother, school volunteer and active with her sons’ involvement with the Little League Association of Hardinsburg, IN. )
In the past, while her husband worked and sons attended school, Nancy was the key figure in also caring for and raising their chickens and black angus cattle.
Nancy enjoyed gardening, reading and taking great pleasure in working crossword puzzles. She modestly described herself as a simple person, nothing special. She always tried to be a good person who deeply loved her family.
Surviving is her sister, Norma Partin of Oakdale. She is also survived by several nieces nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank John Stankevich,Sr; her sons, Frank John Stankevich, Jr. and Raymond Louis Stankevich and brothers, Paul R., Neil and Ralph George
Flowers are welcome; however, if so desired memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, Inc.
Friends will be received 6-8 Sunday in the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 5000 Noblestown Road, Oakdale (724-693-2800) where service will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
