Obituary

Sam E. Brown, 80 of Oakdale, North Fayette Twp., passed away on April 5, 2020 in Heritage Valley- Sewickley.

Sam was born on May 10, 1939, in Athens, Georgia, the son of the late Sam and Ruth (Stubbs) Brown.

Mr. Brown was a retired Air Force Veteran and a retired U.S. Postal mail carrier. He was a member of Cross Roads Methodist Church and loved golfing and coin collecting.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Judy (Wolfe) Brown, step-children; Vickie (Joseph) Leddy, Harry (Holly) Acheson, and Pamela Riggleman, his 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister, Elizabeth Watson and brother, Deaver Brown.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Brown.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. All arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 5000 Noblestown Rd., Oakdale (724-693-2800). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans Association.
