Richard “Dickie” Ackman, 74, of Oakdale, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 in St. Clair Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Dickie was born on January 2, 1946, the son of the late Howard and Ruth “Tippy” (Jones) Ackman.
Mr. Ackman was a lifelong truck driver and skilled mechanic, and owner of D.ALI Trucking. Dickie was a part of the Sil’s coffee crew, where he enjoyed spending time with all his friends. He will best be remembered for his enormous heart and how he selflessly would help his Oakdale and surrounding communities, especially during the flood of 2004. Dickie gave his time and equipment to those who needed him most, whenever they needed him. He was a mentor to many and never passed up on a greasy spoon, junkyard or ice cream.
Surviving is his loving wife Janet (Walker) Ackman of Oakdale, daughter, Lori Ann Miller of North Fayette Twp., sister Barb Ackman of Texas and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
All arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 5000 Noblestown Rd., Oakdale (724-693-2800). Interment will be held at Robinson Run Cemetery.
