John F. “Fred” Fisher, 85, of Imperial, passed away on January 14, 2021 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital.

I am posting some of the most recent pics I have of Uncle Fred. He was always eager for adventure whether it was a trip to Canada or simply an afternoon fishing excursion at Racoon Park; and there was always a fun time to be had whenever and wherever he was involved... It was either a snappy joke or his loud laugh that made us all smile. He taught everyone who knew him how to enjoy life, laugh much, and enjoy each other. The minute one of us thought we were a little too important.. he was there with a quick prank or remark to also teach us a little humility... My brothers and I could not have asked for a better example of how to be a good uncle. Like everyone, I will miss him, his big smile, and his laugh. I will end with a stanza from the Marine Hymn: "..If the Army and the Navy Ever look on Heaven's scenes They will find the streets are guarded By United States Marines" I know in my heart he has taken his rightful place with his brother Marines... and every now and then is making them laugh. For Aunt Francis, Freddy, Nina, Billy, Warren, and Dale and all of the Grandchildren. Please accept our family's deepest sorrow. Jim, Tracy, Bryan, and Greg Vaughn

Dear Frannie and family we are so sorry for your loss. Fred always made us laugh. We have many fun memories with your family.
Losing our loved ones is so hard but knowing they are not suffering any more brings us peace.

I write this today with a heavy heart.

Growing up, I recall many Sunday get togethers with my cousins, Aunt Frances and Uncle Fred.
We would either be in Imperial or Ellwood City and there was always a lot of laughter, food , and pranks and jokes by Uncle Fred.
I will always cherish these memories. Families these days tend to be spread across the country and unfortunately
“get togethers “ are rare, especially now., so I consider myself fortunate.

I am so glad that my family got to spend time with my Uncle at my niece Marla’s wedding. They thoroughly enjoyed his company and thought he was a “cool” guy.....something I already knew😊

My heartfelt sympathies to my Aunt Francis , my cousins Nina, Fred, Dale, Bill, and Warren and their families.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,
The Sroka family,
Ken, Vicky(Vaughn), Kathryn, Stephen
