Michael Delaney Peluso, 50, of McDonald, South Fayette Twp., passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was born on April 24, 1970, in Pittsburgh, a son of Marlene (Delaney) Peluso, of Sturgeon, South Fayette Twp., and the late Samuel T. Peluso (2011).

Mr. Peluso was a safety manager for 84 Lumber and he regularly attended Crossroads Church – North Fayette. While safety manager may have been his title, Michael was defined by so much more. He was an amazing father who supported his wife and children in everything they did, and it was rare to find Michael without a tool in his hand. In his lifetime, he remodeled and built 3 different houses and helped start up TMP Construction with his son. He was an amazing storyteller, and he had one of those contagious laughs that nobody could resist. Michael always put others before himself, and there wasn’t a person in the world that he wouldn’t do anything for. Michael always enjoyed being outdoors, and at one point he even purchased a boat to take fishing, although not many fish were caught. Above all his family was the most important to him. He was the person that always made sure, you knew how much he loved you, and Michael always went the extra mile to put a smile on everyone’s face. His wife, children, and large extended family, were the people that completed his life. Michael will be missed by so many, but his memory will live on through each person, whom he touched in a special way.

Along with Michael’s mother, surviving is, his loving wife of 25 years, Teresa (Barrett) Peluso, children, Mikayla and Tyler Peluso, brother Kevin (Denise) Peluso, and numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 2-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A final viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in the funeral home for those who wish to attend. All others may meet the family at Crossroads Church – North Fayette, 1000 Crossroads Dr, Oakdale, PA 15071, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Following the service, interment will be held at Robinson Run Cemetery.

To better ensure the safety of the family and those closest, when entering the funeral home, please abide by CDC guidelines, please practice social distancing, wear a mask, and sanitize/wash hands frequently, and please limit your time within the funeral home. And please dress appropriately as attendees may be asked to wait outside.

Dear Teresa and children,
I apologize that I am unable to pay my respects in person, but I only found out just today - now. You may not remember me, but I met you a few times during the time I worked with Mike in Training and Safety at Duquesne Light Co. I have nothing but the BEST MEMORIES EVER of him.
Mike was simply the best; honorable, full of integrity in safety, both in doing his job and ensuring the safety of others. I remember when we recruited him to work in our department - it was a hard sell, but he finally agreed to come on board with us. What a find and I never regretted a moment of that decision. He was always so reliable and instantly became an integral part of the success of the line worker program we established at Duquesne and so many of the line workers he trained have him to thank for their success at Duquesne.
Everything he did, he did his best. I was able to see one of the homes he built and will always remember the rock climbing wall he built in it for his children. Teresa, you and the children were everything to him. He always spoke of you all with pride, happiness and joy.
I have thought of Mike over the years since my retirement, always remembering our work together with fondness and with thankfulness, such good memories that I will cherish. I am so sorry he is gone. May he rest in peace and may GOD comfort you, Teresa, your children and the rest of your family and friends who loved him and will greatly miss him.
